Just to let you all know that Mike and Cora Wilkie have now got an open Facebook page to invite anyone in the community to engage with them if they wish. A wonderful and much needed contribution to the continued wellbeing of the community as we progress through the marathon of the coronavirus crisis that affects each and every one of us.
This is the Link, or you may get in at The-Three-Wells-Missions-Community.
Please share this info and also let people not on FB know.
This is beyond the church parishioners FB pages; this one is an open conversation with the community at large.
Local Bus Journeys updated 22nd April 2020
As a result of the COVID-19 situation, our bus companies are facing a very difficult situation as passenger numbers fall drastically alongside staffing issues and of course only key workers travelling. In response, bus companies are planning to reduce their services, inevitably with less than the usual notice period. They are doing this in discussion with the County Council and we are supporting them in obtaining short-notice authorization from the Traffic Commissioner. Some community transport groups have closed down, others have altered their services and some have been able to offer other assistance to people in need such as delivering essential items.
At present the best advice for anyone having to undertake essential travel is to check with their local bus company or community transport group before travelling.
